Ryan & Emily’s Elopement at Grand Teton National Park in Jackson, WY

Every great adventure starts somewhere. Ryan and Emily chose to start their adventure in one of the most stunning places in all of the US. A place that is often viewed by people to be a bucket list, or end goal destination, would be the setting for chapter one in the story of Ryan and Emily’s marriage.

Grand Teton National Park, located in Jackson, Wyoming, checked all of the boxes for Ryan & Emily. Majestic scenery. Abundant wildlife. A true sense of adventure. Grand Teton National Park was the clear choice when Ryan & Emily were looking for not just a destination elopement location, but the setting for the story of their lives together.

Ryan and Emily’s day began at the Colter Bay campground, located at the north end of Grand Teton National Park. The couple helped each other get ready right outside their pull behind camper. It made for a very intimate start to their day, as the couple chose to begin their adventure with just the two of them. We arrived in the early afternoon and began documenting the couple as they finished getting ready, and began to head out for their vow exchange at Oxbow Bend. Choosing a scenic location is not difficult in Grand Teton National Park at it is filled with some of the most spectacular places for couples to elope.

Ryan and Emily chose their ceremony location to be Oxbow Bend for the abundant fall colors and beautiful view of Mt. Moran. Located right along the Snake River, Oxbow bend provides spectacular views of the Teton mountain rage, and is famous for the beautifully clear reflection of Mt. Moran into the blue water of the snake river. A truly stunning backdrop for the joining of two individuals into one.

From there, the couple made their way to the stunning Jenny Lake. The south shore of Jenny Lake offers more incredible views of the Tetons, and Ryan and Emily were able to take in the beauty as they strolled along the shoreline, and enjoyed a glass of their favorite whiskey together. The was an important destination the coupled hoped to visit while in Grand Teton National Park.

Next on the itinerary, Ryan and Emily visited the historical hand built farm houses of Mormon Row. With the sun beginning to set on a perfect day, the couple reenacted some family photos, shared their first dance, and cut into their wedding pie together. A mountain backdrop, the rustic barns, and the gorgeous orange and purple sunset provided exactly what was needed for their last stop in Grand Teton National Park.

As the day gave way to night, one last stop was needed to place the cherry on top for Ryan and Emily’s Elopement. This required driving into the near by town of Jackson, to visit the iconic Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. The couple took in all of the night life of Jackson, and shared one last dip kiss right in front of the bright lights and bucking bronco to cap off their most perfect start to the rest of their lives together.
